New Partnership and Engagement Officer

Sue Harris

Sue Harris has joined AJM Healthcare as a Partnership and Engagement Officer for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.

The purpose of the role is to give service users a voice in the development of the wheelchair services, using feedback about the service to promote quality improvements.

Sue will also have a key role in developing partnerships with other organisations, so that the wheelchair service is an integral part of the community. This will include NHS services, local authorities and the voluntary sector.

Sue trained as a nurse and a midwife, but for the last few years has been an assessor for various quality standards, including an international standard for hospitals that has taken her all over the world, including Iceland, China, USA and the British Virgin Islands, as well as an assessor for CECOPS, the quality standard for community equipment and wheelchair services.

When she is not working, Sue is a volunteer with the Scout Association and is currently an elected Trustee on the national board and a Cub leader in Derbyshire.

If you have some feedback about the wheelchair service, or would like to get involved in our service user forums, Sue would love to hear from you.
